Common People Oxford 2017

A music obsessive with a penchant for hip hop and bass that smacks of reggae, Trol23 lurks in warehouses and festival fields as well as some of London’s less salubrious nightspots.
A record collector first and foremost, Trol23 cut his teeth as a DJ warming up for jungle and dub raves in the ’90s playing a sound that combined his love of golden era rap, Jamaican dancehall, and the raggamuffin sounds of Saxon, with jungle and dub basslines. These days rap and dancehall is fused with grime and the varied sounds of UK bass music but the aim remains the same – dancefloor destruction aimed squarely at your booty.
