Common People Oxford 2018

More amazing music for Common People!

  • Morcheeba

Revealing even more musical treats for your dancing feet, the Common People team are very pleased to unveil a litany of movers, shakers and upstarts joining The Jacksons, Ride, James, Sparks, Maximo Park and more to keep the spring bank holiday rolling in South Park this 26th & 27th May.

Rob da Bank says: “With less than 60 days to go until we are in South Park, we are adding lots of fantastic new acts. From the enchanted beats of Morcheeba and all-girl alt rock from Honeyblood to lo-fi house and the full-on dancefloor madness of the Disco Shed crew, there’s tons of stuff to get stuck into. Come and join the party”.

Bringing their own distinctive brand of insouciant beats and serene excursions to the Common Stage we are delighted that Morcheeba are set to deliver what we can guarantee will be 100% bliss in musical form. While taking the diametrically opposed view, Glaswegian duo Honeyblood are poised to conquer the main stage and beyond with their fearsome alt-rock assault.

Keeping the dancefloors bumping, Ross from Friends will step behind the decks to get you reaching for the stars with some lo-fi house action on our brand new Carnival Stage. And just for good measure Oxford institution the Disco Shed is back by popular demand to up the ante with party favours courtesy of Nick & Nell’s Zodiac Discotheque, Dan Bossaphonik, Bam Bam Sound, Euan Booth, Peepshow Paddy, Tastes Like Chicken, Count Skylarkin’ Vs DJ Binge, Kerry & K-Tel, Del Gazeebo, Bustmasta Barrydark, Trol23 Vs Alex From Wigan, Disco Darrell Vs Steamin’ John Dash, Soul Sessions, The Hip Drop with Louche & Van Mule, Checkmate, Thematics and Lochie.
